Farmer's Market Reflection 10/13

1) I met with Chris Grant, the owner of Grant Family Farm. I did not meet anyone else.
2) It was interesting that Chris was interested in farming since he was a kid. He started selling vegetables and pumpkins on the road side when he was 14. It's interesting too because most people don't actually have the job they say they will as a kid, but Chris did.
3)

  1. What made you want to start a farming business?
  2. Do you like what you do?
  3. Were you always interested in farming when you were a kid?\
  4. How much business do you usually get annually?
  5. Do you like the area you live and work in?

1) Chris was always into farming as a kid so he wanted to start a business
2) Chris does like what he does.
3) Chris was always interested in farming
4) He usually gets a lot
5) He does

From this experience I realized that some people actually do the profession they want to as a kid. I also realized that the Farmer's Market gets a lot of business. This contributed to my sense of place because I saw that some people like Grant don't need to live and work in an urban area.
